Once upon a time, there was a hero named Cold Master. Cold Master used a supersuit that gave him the ability to freeze his opponents, and he wielded that power in ways he hoped were wise and well.<br />
<br />
But one day, a battle destroyed his suit, and nearly ended his life-and the release of cold energies killed those around him. All of this combined to compel Cold Master to retire forever.<br />
<br />
Except Fate wasn't done with him yet. Years later, he began discovering that the powers of the cold suit had somehow interacted with his own genetic structure-the powers were no longer in the suit, but in him.<br />
<br />
Unwilling to return to his former identity and costume, he chose a new alias to try to make up for those he could not save. No longer a Cold Master, he is now merely "Mister Cold".<br />
