==Description==
Gaius is a blond haired man, who wears banded mail armor and carries a scimitar. He seems a prototypical paladin-wise, charismatic, and not all that bright.

==Personality==
Folks might think Gaius is simple, and to some extent, that's true. He's not the smartest guy around, which means he tends to act on how he ''feels'' rather than thinking things through. This makes him one of the moral centers of the adventuring party, although it makes him probably the worst person to make a plan with. Sometimes he will miss things that are literally right in front of his face until it's pointed out to him.

==History==
Gaius was noviced with the church of Heironeous as soon as his family could sponsor him to them; he wasn't exactly apt with the family business of dying (that is, use of dye, not getting killed). He quickly fell in with a group of adventures doing some odd jobs (including rescuing a pair of women who were unwillingly prostituted, and went to work at his temple in gratitude-and perhaps in hopes of catching his long-term attention; he remains oblivious, or perhaps does not wish to take undue advantage of them). Eventually, the group was conscripted to join the city's army, and has participated in a war with the orcs on either side of the territory claimed by the city.

However, more significantly was their involvement with demigods of assorted alignment; the group saved one from the clutches of a lich-lord, while at another time they escorted one to her "sister"-and in the process, put Gaius in a position where he refused the temptations of a dragon and its horde in order to cause Gaius to release it from an oath from dragonkind to aid humanity at the time of its direst need.

The campaign is currently on hiatus; it may or may not be resumed at a later date.
