	The story goes that the ''Imperial'' was not destroyed, but had succeeded beyond Crey's wildest imaginings, having reached into the far side of the galaxy. The story says that the crew encountered aliens who worshiped technology as a god, and it was a jealous ~~good~~ indeed. The crew would not convert, and was slain in sacrifice-all but one. The one enthusiastically embraced the religion, and rose to become a Dread Bishop, to be sent back to the world of his birth to convert the planet to the true faith of the God in the Machine-or to end it. Blasphemers are not tolerated; he may not act immediately on it, but rest assured, the blasphemers will die. He has no interest in leading a flock, however, preferring that others lead the way in that arena. He is more interested in demonstrating his power as proof of his faith.

			He has demonstrated a considerable antipathy towards anyone affiliated with Crey Industries, and the more authority such individuals have within the company, the more likely he is to go out of his way to cause them pain and death. If stories are true, it's likely to be ''very'' personal for him

It was to be Earth's first attempt at faster-than-light travel with experimental technologies. The ''Imperial'' was to be the crown jewel of Crey-or it would be, if they publicized it. Since Crey doesn't believe in bad publicity, they kept everything quiet. The point was to glory in the return trip with proof of their journey-perhaps some rocks from Pluto.
