Dana Weaver fell in with a bad crowd early, mystically speaking. Her friends and she found themselves drawn to a charismatic sorcerer who promised to teach them the ways of magic. What he really meant was "let me drain out your souls a little at a time, and by the time I'm through, you'll all be as dark as I."

This worked for awhile, and Dana, like the others, began learning black magic. But an encounter with a mage who opened her eyes to what was happening, plus the casual murder of most of those old friends by the sorcerer, turned her against the one who taught her. Now, wielding fell magics in the service of what is right, Darkmage hopes that one day, she will atone for the misdeeds of her past by ending the threat of the souless sorcerers like the one who taught her.
